OTP Private Banking, Hungary named the Best Private Bank of Central and Eastern Europe by Global Finance Magazine for the first time

This is the first time OTP Private Banking was named the best private banking service provider within the CEE region by the internationally renowned Global Finance Magazine. In the national awards category, OTP Private Banking was also presented with the Best Private Bank in Hungaryaward for the fifth year in a row. In addition to this, CKB Bank, the Montenegrin subsidiary of OTP Group, has also won the Best Private Bank in Montenegro award for the third time.

Global Finance has announced its seventh annual World’s Best Private Banks Awards for 2022. Global Finance’s Private Bank Awards honors banks that best serve the specialized needs of high-net-worth individuals as they seek to enhance, preserve and pass on their wealth. The winners are not always the biggest institutions, but rather the best—those with qualities that individuals rate highly when choosing a provider. High-net-worth individuals have responded to the global health crisis in myriad ways, including new demands for a wider array of sustainable investment options and increasingly sophisticated digital services. Global Finance’s annual awards recognize the private banks that are rising to the occasion.

Global Finance’s editorial board selected the winners for the Private Bank Awards with input from executives and industry insiders. The editors also use information from entries submitted by banks, in addition to independent research, to evaluate a series of objective and subjective factors. This year’s ratings were based on performance during the period covering July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

“Almost one year ago we integrated our investment and private banking services, putting our private banking business line under the group-level management of OTP Global Markets. Besides our business results, a series of prestigious, independent, professional awards also confirm that the cooperation fostered through the restructuring was successful, opening up new horizons of opportunities for our division,” said Attila Bánfi, Managing Director of OTP Global Markets.

OTP Private Banking provides asset management services in the CEE region to around 73,000 customers in 11 countries, and manages over EUR 9 billion worth of customer assets, providing customers with stability and innovative solutions at the same time. OTP’s private banking business in Hungary manages assets of HUF 2,500 billion for 24,000 customers.
