OTP Valutnyi – new fund and strategy that has stood the test of time
On October 26, 2015 a new interval mutual fund "OTP Valutnyi" was launched by AMC “OTP Capital”. The fund is the successor of "OTP Valutniy" fund, which showed one of the best results among all financial instruments in Ukraine during last 2 years. The fund’s strategy, aimed at investments in foreign currency government bonds and bank deposits, yielded 235.3% (105.6% of annual return), 20.3% (9.1% of annual return) in dollar equivalent.
The new "OTP Valutnyi" has a similar strategy, which includes investments in foreign currency nominated instruments - government bonds, bank deposits and futures. This protects clients’ savings in case of UAH devaluation, as well as gives an opportunity to receive higher yield than on foreign currency bank deposits. Another fund advantage – its performance does not depend on the term of investment - investor can withdraw capital on a quarterly basis.
