OTP Bank to be the first in Ukraine to implement cash currency exchange via ATM
OTP Bank became the first bank in Ukraine to introduce a possibility to buy cash foreign currency for cash hryvnia via ATM.
To exchange currency, OTP Bank's client has to log in to an ATM using a card issued by OTP Bank (including a token card in GooglePay/ApplePay applications), select the appropriate menu item, put cash hryvnia to the ATM, and receive cash dollars or other currency available in the ATM. The change can be transferred to the client's hryvnia account, used for mobile replenishment or transferred to charity.
The function of cash currency exchange via ATM was implemented with RSCore software product from RENOME SMART. So far, such a function has been installed at one ATM located in the self-service area of the bank's head office (43 Zhylyanska Street, Kyiv).
"In the future, the ability to buy foreign currency for cash in hryvnia will be introduced at other ATMs in the bank`s network. The mechanics of such an ATM is that one of its cassettes is loaded with banknotes of a certain currency. Other cassettes are filled with cash in hryvnia. Due to the RSCore platform, the ATM automatically conducts currency exchange transactions. Our main goal is to provide comfort for our clients, who from now can save time and exchange currency safely and conveniently in a 24/7 format," said Yuriy Ponomarenko, Head of E-Business Development of OTP Bank.
