OTP Bank joined the educational marathon "Financial defense. Banker profession"

Employees of OTP Bank took part in the educational marathon "Financial Defense. Banker profession" - an all-Ukrainian project initiated by the National Bank of Ukraine.

As part of the educational marathon, 92 ambassadors of the bank conducted financial literacy lessons in kindergartens, schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, universities, centers for internaly displaced people, boarding houses, as well as for a children's football team. Events took place in such cities and towns as Brovary, Ternopil, Odesa, Uzhhorod, Lviv, Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Lutsk, Vinnytsia, Kamianske, Pavlograd, Pervomaisk, Chorniy ostriv.

The ambassadors talked with the kids about why money is needed and when it came into being, learned interesting facts about the hryvnia, made paper wallets, solved puzzles, etc. With youngsters, they found out how to distinguish fake bills from real ones, how to save for a dream, discussed payment security when making payments in the Internet, mastered an ATM. The graduates and students discussed the types of scams (skimming, fishing and vishing) and how to protect against them, as well as shared life hacks for smartphone protection.

The educational marathon within the framework of the #ShakhrayGoodbye program is currently ongoing, so the bank's volunteer team continues to conduct financial literacy lessons.
