Newborn hearing screening device was purchased thanks to OTP Bank Helps Ukraine
OTP Bank Helps Ukraine charity project has implemented another initiative: a hearing screening device for newborns – an audiometer – was purchased and handed over to the pediatric department of the Mykolaiv Regional Children Hospital’s neonatal center.
The cost of the device is UAH 290,000. Doctors have already started using an audiometer to diagnose children's hearing.
Hearing impairment is one of the common pathologies for newborns. While early diagnosis makes it possible to set a diagnosis in time and start treatment in the very first days of a child's life.
The purchase of the audiometer became possible thanks to the bank's clients active participation in the charity fundraising. In particular, the project volunteers express special thanks to Technotorg group of companies and Ukrainianskiy Budivelnyk LLC.
