OTP Bank in systemically important banks list sixth year in a row
JSC "OTP BANK" is in the list of systemically important banks for the sixth time based on the results of its annual review by the National Bank of Ukraine, according to the regulator's website.
Compared to last year, the number of banks to which the NBU has confirmed the status of system importance has not changed: there are 15 institutions on the list. Systemically important banks are defined in two stages. First, the regulator pays attention to the size of the bank, the degree of financial relationships and areas of activity. Then the list is supplemented by financial institutions, if their share in the total amount of guaranteed population deposits in the banking sector exceeds 1%.
OTP Bank was included in the list of systemically important banks of Ukraine in 2019, since then it has always maintained this status.
To remind, OTP Bank took third place in terms of capital adequacy according to the results of the sustainability assessment conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine. Thus, according to the asset quality assessment indicators (AQR), the Bank's capital adequacy ratio (H3) amounted to UAH 7 billion 234 million, or 19.09% at the required indicators level of 7%. Regulatory capital (H2) is UAH 12 billion 315 million. The ratio of its sufficiency is 32.5% at the required indicator level of 10%.
