OTP BANK would sale domestic government bonds from own portfolio of state bonds
“OTP BANK” JSC starts a new service in May – sale of domestic government bonds from own portfolio of state bonds via OTP Bank UA app. Therefore, purchasing of domestic government bonds would be available in any time, regardless of the date of action conduction by Ministry of finance of Ukraine.
As product owner of OTP BANK Valeriia Ovcharuck told, due to new service clients would have more possibilities to choose optimal bond`s rate and term of placement. “Last fall OTP BANK gave to the clients possibility to buy domestic government bonds directly on Ministry of finance auctions via OTP Bank UA app. For to propose more possibilities for investment into state bonds, was created a functional, which will allow individuals to buy online domestic government bonds from Bank`s portfolio. We conducted inside research in the Bank and analyzed requests from our clients about wanted for investment periods and currencies and based on this we formulated portfolio of bonds for sale. That’s how clients would combine rate and period of investment. Service is on testing stage, for users it will be available in May”, - told V. Ovcharuck.
She emphasized that domestic bonds purchase is a convenient and fast. “Only couple of clicks in app – and state bonds are in your bond portfolio. At the same time you make beneficial and reliable investment in the future, since repayment of domestic bonds is guaranteed by state for 100%”, - underlined V. Ovcharuck.
Service will be aviliable for all clients, who oppenes their bond account ain any OTP BANK branch.
To remind, according to the results of 2023, OTP BANK took fourth place among Ukrainian banks in the overall rating of primary dealers, according to information from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The status of the primary dealer provides the exclusive right to participate in placements of domestic government bonds carried out by the Ministry of finance, both on its own behalf and for clients of individuals and legal entities, as well as banks and financial companies that do not have such a status.
