OTP Kids Camp started its work: 39 children departured to the first session
OTP BANK JSC, “Ukrzaliznytsia” JSC and charitable foundation “Blagomay” joined within initiative OTP Kids Camp and organized holidays for kids, who lost their parents and were affected by the war. The other day, 39 children went to the first session. OTP Kids Camp will operate from August 10 to 31, 2024 in Budapest (Hungary), a total of 117 children aged13-18 will attend the summer camp. Three session of 7 days, each are planned.
The goal of OTP Kids Camp is to provide children with conditions for active recreation: recovery of internal resources, search for inspiration, new acquaintances and communication. A unique program was created: creative, sports and psychological sections, supplemented by interesting excursions and a financial literacy session with a visit to the head office of OTP Bank, Hungary.
"Ukrainian children, together with their country and their families, are overcoming non-childish obstacles in difficult times. Therefore, we would very much like them to "reboot" properly. We are proud of the children of Ukraine and we want them to get the most out of this vacation: positive emotions, good impressions, a great mood, unforgettable memories," – said team leader of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine charity project and director of retail sales and network management of OTP BANK Lesia Syrota during the departure of the first group of children from the Central Railway Station to OTP Kids Camp.
She expressed her gratitude to the partners: to "Ukrzaliznytsia" and to the charitable foundation "Blagomai", who helped with the implementation of the project. "This is very important for OTP BANK, as our team is focused on the widest possible support of our country. For two years now, we have been running the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine charity program, within which we help children, IDPs, and hospitals. In general, the entire OTP Group in Ukraine allocated more than UAH 185 million to charity, and we are not going to stop on our achievements," - said Lesya Syrota.
OTP BANK covers all expenses for the implementation of the camp program, hotel accommodation and meals, transfer in Budapest and excursions for children.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” JSC joins the initiative and provides special trains for transporting children from Kyiv to Budapest and back. During this initiative there are almost 60 children in the OTP Kids Camp on the part of "Ukrzaliznytsia" employees who had lost their family member since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
