Second session started at OTP Kids Camp
Summer OTP Kids Camp continues its work and recently accepted the second shift - 39 children affected by the war.
"The first shift has already "rebooted" properly and returned to Ukraine. Children have unforgettable impressions, new friends and a desire to meet again! It was a big responsibility, meticulous work of all five partners: OTP BANK in Ukraine, OTP Bank in Hungary, OTP Travel, Ukrzaliznytsia, CF "Blagomay". Everything was successful! Therefore, we sent the second shift more confidently and calmly. Among the parents who escorted their children were our Heroes with prostheses. Moreover, parents of some children died… It is especially important for us to heal and restore them. The camp team does everything possible for this. Soon, we will publish video memories of this summer vacation on the Bank's YouTube channel, so that both children and everyone who comes will be filled with positivity," – said team leader of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine charity project and director of retail sales and network management of OTP BANK Lesia Syrota.
To remind, OTP Kids Camp is a charitable initiative involving several partners: OTP BANK JSC, OTP Bank in Hungary, OTP Travel, “Ukrzaliznytsia” JSC and charitable foundation “Blagomay”.
OTP BANK covered all expenses for the implementation of the camp program, hotel accommodation and meals, transfer in Budapest and excursions for children.
OTP Travel, a subsidiary company of OTP Bank, Hungary, provided the children from the camp with a bus to travel around Budapest and provided excursions.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” JSC joined the initiative and provided special trains for transporting children from Kyiv to Budapest and back. Within the project, OTP Kids Camp will host almost 60 children of "Ukrzaliznytsia" employees who had lost their family member since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
OTP Kids Camp works from August 10 to 31, 2024 in Budapest (Hungary), a total of 117 children aged13-18 will attend the summer camp.
The goal of OTP Kids Camp is to provide children with conditions for active recreation: recovery of internal resources, search for inspiration, new acquaintances and communication. A unique program was created: creative, sports and psychological sections, supplemented by interesting excursions and a financial literacy session with a visit to the head office of OTP Bank, Hungary.
