Kindness and keenness in our veins: OTP BANK team replenished the blood supplies of the Amosov Institute
The team of OTP BANK JSC once again joined forces to give hope for life to nearly a hundred Ukrainians: as part of a long-standing donor tradition, the Bank’s employees replenished the blood supplies of the National Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. More than 30 employees from the head office took part in the corporate donation organized jointly with DonorUA, providing 14 liters of blood.
“Blood donation is a simple yet invaluable way to help patients who have suffered severe injuries or require complex treatment. We, the employees of OTP BANK, are glad to share the most precious gift with those for whom a transfusion of donor blood or its components is a chance at life. Our team has integrated blood donation into the corporate culture and calls on all caring people to actively support the donor movement in Ukraine, because social responsibility begins with each of us,” said Lesya Syrota, team leader of the charitable project OTP Bank Helps Ukraine and Director of the Retail Sales and Branch Network Management Department at OTP BANK.
The previous donor day at the Bank took place just a few months ago, and employees once again came together for the sake of good. Blood donation is always about humanity, care, and the power of community. According to statistics, one donor can save the lives of three people, so the blood donated by the team this time can give hope for recovery to nearly a hundred Ukrainians.
It should be recalled that OTP BANK launched its own blood donation tradition in 2021. Each time, more and more employees join the initiative — both regular donors and those giving blood for the first time. This year, ahead of World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14, the Bank’s team collected over 15 liters of blood for the needs of the Amosov Institute, and in February — 19 liters.
