Stopping critical bleeding: OTP BANK employees complete training

Employees of OTP BANK JSC took part in a specialized one-day training session conducted by the certified training center Rhythm, where they learned how to recognize and stop critical bleeding, provide first aid to injured individuals before medical professionals arrive, and correctly treat wounds.

Theoretical knowledge was immediately reinforced through hands-on exercises — using training models or paired practice with colleagues.

“I really wanted to attend this training because we are living through challenging times that bring many risks. My goal was to learn how to provide first aid when every minute matters. We performed numerous practical tasks, most of which required speed, skill, confidence, and the ability to stay composed. It was six hours of truly practical value,” shared Alina Zadniprychenko, People Partner Specialist, Process Support for Agile and Digital at OTP BANK.

Upon completion of the course, participants received certificates confirming their readiness to act in critical situations before medical professionals arrive. This is already the third first-aid training attended by the Bank’s employees this year.

Such training sessions are part of OTP BANK’s corporate social responsibility initiatives and aim to help employees acquire essential knowledge and skills required in emergency situations. The previous session focused on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
