Sharing Care: OTP BANK Team Congratulates Residents of the Nizhyn Boarding School on the Christmas and New Year Holidays
The team of JSC “OTP BANK” carried out a Christmas mission of kindness by visiting the Nizhyn Children’s Boarding School in the Chernihiv region to create a festive atmosphere for its residents. The initiative was implemented as part of the charitable program OTP Bank Helps Ukraine.
“Christmas and New Year holidays are a special time when every child needs even more attention, care, and faith in miracles. The mission of OTP BANK as a socially responsible bank is to be present at such moments, to support those in need, and to give warmth and hope for a better future. It is from such small acts of kindness that great changes are born,” said Lesia Syrota, Team Leader of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine program and Director of the Retail Sales and Network Management Department at OTP BANK.
The Nizhyn Children’s Boarding School is home to 105 residents with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. On the eve of the holidays, each child received sweet treats from OTP BANK, while the institution was provided with essential hygiene products that its residents need on a daily basis.
The total cost of the charitable initiative amounted to UAH 204,000. The funds were collected by OTP BANK employees.
This is already the third charitable project implemented by the Bank for the Nizhyn Children’s Boarding School. In 2023, with the support of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine program, OTP BANK donated ceiling hoists to the institution – special equipment that enables lifting children with physical disabilities from beds, transferring them to wheelchairs, and assisting with hygiene procedures. In addition, the residents of the boarding school received embroidered shirts for Vyshyvanka Day.
We would also like to recall that recently the team of JSC “OTP BANK” joined the ranks of Saint Nicholas’s helpers and purchased warm winter clothing, footwear, blankets, pillows, duvets, and gifts for children who live and study at the Udaytsi Educational and Rehabilitation Center in the Chernihiv region, as well as at the Chernihiv Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children. The total cost of this project exceeded UAH 750,000.
