NBU Created New Resource about Financial System Activity during War

The National Bank of Ukraine has created a special website that clarifies the specifics of providing financial services by banks and non-bank financial institutions during the war – "Financial Defense of Ukraine". The site was developed taking into account the changes and limitations in the functioning of Ukraine's financial system caused by Russia's military aggression.

The main purpose of the newly created resource is to summarize all changes in rules of financial services and administrative restrictions, as well as their constant updating in main sections: hryvnia, foreign currency, cards, loans, deposits, insurance and questions on the rest financial services.

Thus, every citizen of Ukraine – consumer of financial services will be able to find comprehensive answers from regulator to questions depending on their current needs. In particular, the limits on transactions with foreign and national currency during martial law in Ukraine, the purchase and sale of foreign currency, the export of valuables abroad. One can also get the information how to reissue a payment card, what to do with a loan if there is no possibility repay it, whether one can withdraw deposit, how to avoid payment fraud, whether one can get insurance payments, how banks` branches work and more.
