Total assistance to Superhumans Center in 2023 amounted to almost UAH 27 million
The total amount of funds transferred by the OTP Bank to the prosthetics and rehabilitation center Superhumans Center amounted to almost UAH 27 million.
The Bank recently completed the charity Christmas auction, which was held in the OTP Bank UA application and featured iconic lots from prominent personalities: Valery Zaluzhny, Kyryl Budanov, the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, billionaire philanthropist Howard Buffett, as well as from famous athletes, actors, artists, etc. In total - 37 lots. The amount of funds collected during the auction is UAH 5.8 million. Of these, UAH 2.9 million are direct donations from customers who made transfers in the application to help the Superhumans Center.
"This is already the second large charity auction that we have held to raise funds for prosthetics for Ukrainians. Our clients actively participated in the initiative, for which we are very grateful. We would also like to thank everyone who donated lots for sale. Thanks to them and their willingness to support, Ukrainians who suffered injuries as a result of hostilities receive treatment and rehabilitation," said CEO of OTP Bank Volodymyr Mudryi.
"For the sake of help, we all joined together: clients and employees of the bank, famous people and opinion leaders for a worthy cause. We are proud of the fact that we can help Ukrainians, like, for example, Vyacheslav, who worked as a forwarding driver before the full-scale war. Now Vyacheslav is undergoing rehabilitation, getting used to servicing leg prostheses and preparing for hand prostheses," emphasized Lesya Syrota, team leader of the charity project OTP Bank Helps Ukraine, director of the OTP Bank retail business sales department and network management.
She said that the Bank implemented a charity auction in the application for the first time, and the option of direct donations from customers was also added for the first time. "In the future, we will offer even more interesting solutions to attract more people for contributions to support the Invincibles," L.Syrota noted.
To remind, on the occasion of the Ukraines’ Independence Day-2023, OTP Bank also held a charity auction, during which it raised over UAH 3 million. Another UAH 5 million was transferred by the Bank for the creation of an educational center on the basis of the Superhumans Center for the training of prosthetists, who are in dire shortage in Ukraine.
In addition, OTP Bank transfers monthly from UAH 1 million to Superhumans Center. Thus, the total amount of assistance is already almost UAH 27 million.
