The OTP BANK`s team completed first aid training Stop the Bleed
Employees of OTP BANK JSC completed the first aid training Stop the Bleed (STB) it was the first training in a series planned throughout the year, during which they learned how to respond in critical situations and provide first aid before the arrival of medical personnel.
The STB protocol includes several modules:
- personal safety measures;
- algorithm for calling emergency services 112 and 103;
- localization of bleeding;
- how to stop bleeding.
In today's realities, it is extremely important to know how to save a life. First aid training teaches you how to act correctly in critical situations, when every second counts. It is also about responsibility, because knowledge helps to reduce the level of panic, form internal resistance to stressful situations and provide assistance.
During the training, the Bank's team received personal safety instructions and learned the algorithm for calling emergency services in Ukraine at 112 and 103. A separate part of the training was devoted to localization of bleeding and practical exercises to stop massive bleeding.
OTP BANK employees learned correct wound pressure techniques, how to apply bandages and tourniquets, as well as tamponade.
All participants of the training received international certificates of completion of the course, confirming their readiness to act in critical situations until the arrival of doctors. OTP BANK is planning a series of events throughout the year.
