Girl behind the wheel of the legendary BMW E30: OTP BANK supported Kharkiv drift driver in the 2026 season

OTP BANK JSC, which actively contributes to the development of automotive culture in Ukraine, has become the financial partner of Kharkiv-based drift driver Yana Kurylenko for the 2026 season. She plans to compete in a few events, including the Open Drift and Bitlook series.

The driver and owner of the BMW E30 has been involved in the automotive scene and has been continuously improving her car for more than eight years. The vehicle is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.4-liter M62B44 engine and has been specially prepared for drifting, featuring upgraded suspension components, custom steering settings, and technical modifications required for controlled cornering in a drift. Ahead of the new season, the car underwent a major upgrade and comprehensive competition preparation.

For Yana Kurylenko, the BMW E30 is a long-term passion project that reflects years of work, experimentation, and technical refinement. The iconic model, which has long achieved legendary status among drifting enthusiasts, combines classic styling, strong performance character, and extensive tuning potential, making it a popular choice among drivers worldwide.

The first competition appearance for the upgraded car took place at the Dnipro Kart track in Kamianske on May 16–17. The event also marked the competitive debut for the driver. Thanks to the team responsible for preparing the vehicle for the season, Yana Kurylenko was able to confidently compete at a high level from the very start.

Throughout the summer, the BMW E30 driver will participate in competitions in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, before concluding the season with the championship finale in autumn.

The upcoming events in which Yana Kurylenko plans to compete include:

Drift Open Series — Ukraine’s national Pro-Am drift championship series

June 27 – Kyiv
July 25 – Kyiv
August 22 – Kyiv
September 5 – Odesa (Final)

Bitlook — Ukraine’s national Pro-Am drift competition series

October 4 – Kyiv (Autumn Cup)

OTP BANK intends to continue supporting motorsport as an environment where new talents emerge and modern automotive culture evolves. Participation in such projects represents the Bank’s contribution to the development of a community that continues to raise the standards of national competitions year after year.

As previously reported, OTP BANK acted as a profile partner of one of the country’s largest automotive festivals — KYIV CAR FEST, which took place on May 16–17 at the Retroville shopping and entertainment center.
