OTP BANK Retains Its Status as a Systematically Important Bank, According to NBU Assessment

JSC “OTP BANK” has once again been included in the list of systematically important banks following the annual review conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine, according to the regulator’s website.

Overall, the NBU confirmed the systemiatcally important status of 16 institutions that had been included in the list in 2025.

The regulator identifies systemically important banks annually based on data as of January 1, among banks operating in Ukraine (excluding those classified as insolvent). The assessment considers the size of the bank, the degree of financial interconnectedness, and the scope of its activities.

OTP BANK was first designated as a systematically important bank in Ukraine in 2019 and has retained this status since then.

It is worth noting that OTP BANK successfully passed the resilience assessment of banks and the banking system of Ukraine conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine in 2025. The bank remains profitable, continues to strengthen its capital base, and does not require additional recapitalization.

According to the results of the Asset Quality Review as of December 31, 2024, OTP BANK’s core capital adequacy ratio (N3) amounted to UAH 18.787 billion, or 39.25%, compared to the minimum required level of 12.5%.

Under both the baseline and adverse stress test scenarios, the bank’s capital continues to grow, confirming the effectiveness of its business model and the high quality of its risk management.
