Charity campaign “Independent” raises UAH 2.5 million for combat medic backpacks
OTP BANK JSC and the Leleka-Ukraine Charitable Foundation have successfully completed the charity campaign “Independent”, launched to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day. Thanks to the support of clients, partners, and caring Ukrainians, the initiative raised UAH 2.5 million.
The funds will be used to purchase specialized backpacks for combat medics. The Foundation will equip these backpacks, using additional funding sources, with all the necessary medical supplies required to provide assistance to the wounded in the most challenging conditions.
"The outcome of this campaign exceeded our expectations. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made a donation, shared information about the initiative, or supported the fundraising effort in any other way. The UAH 2.5 million raised will translate into tangible assistance for combat medics who work under extremely difficult conditions every day and fight to save the lives of our defenders," said Iryna Huk, Co-Founder of the Leleka-Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
An important contribution to the campaign’s success came from all participants who supported the fundraising effort through the OTP Bank UA mobile application, launched supplementary fundraising initiatives via the “Kupy” platform, took part in the charity auction, and made donations at the bank’s branches.
