Investments in energy resilience: OTP Bank and ELAKS to support Ukrainian businesses’ projects
JSC OTP Bank and PJSC ELAKS have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at expanding financing opportunities for energy independence projects implemented by Ukrainian businesses. The partnership combines the Bank’s financial expertise with ELAKS’s engineering expertise in delivering integrated industrial engineering projects.
The company operates in the fields of energy and automation, implementing power supply systems, backup power solutions, and energy storage systems. It also delivers complex projects that combine energy storage systems with other generation sources and integrate them into an enterprise’s energy infrastructure. Its in-house production capabilities enable the company to provide a full range of services, from design and software development to equipment manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
Within the framework of the partnership, ELAKS clients will gain access to OTP Bank’s financing solutions for the implementation of projects involving self-generation, energy storage systems, cogeneration facilities, and other solutions designed to ensure business continuity even under challenging energy conditions.
OTP Bank’s financing programme offers businesses flexible terms tailored to the requirements of each project, including customized financing structures, convenient repayment schedules, and competitive interest rates. Financing is available for up to seven years with a minimum down payment of 15%, while the purchased equipment may serve as collateral.
In addition, businesses may benefit from the government-backed Affordable Loans 5-7-9% programme, implemented by the Government of Ukraine through the National Development Institution. An additional advantage is the opportunity to receive an EBRD incentive of up to 30% of the project value.
“Today, energy independence is one of the key priorities for Ukrainian businesses. Our partnership with ELAKS will enable us to offer companies a comprehensive approach to implementing such projects by combining advanced technological solutions with accessible financing tools. We aim to help our clients invest in stability, uninterrupted production processes, and the long-term resilience of their businesses,” said Iryna Kabantseva, Head of Projects and Programs for Alternative Sales Channels at OTP Bank.
The cooperation between OTP Bank and PJSC ELAKS is intended to simplify the entire process for businesses, from developing a technical solution to securing financing and implementing the project. This will enable companies to deliver energy projects tailored to their production processes, existing infrastructure, and specific operational needs.
