Immigrants from the regions where the active hostilities are taking place can receive funds from the World Food Programme through the Western Union payment system.

The World Food Programme (a UN humanitarian organization that provides internally displaced persons (IDPs) with the aid in the form of cash, vouchers or food) makes charitable payments to Ukrainian citizens affected by Russian aggression.

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are the people who have left their homes to escape danger but have not crossed an international border and remained in their home country. IDPs are under the legal protection of their government. They retain all rights and protections under international human rights law.

To apply for the benefits and more detailed information, IDPs are to apply to the UN World Food Programme.

To receive a Western Union transfer, one needs to visit a bank branch, provide an operator with an identity document, a transfer control number, indicate a country and the amount of the shipment.
